I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I received a bachelor’s degree in arts and sciences from Marquette University, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated with a J.D., from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2008. After obtaining my law degree, I worked as a trial attorney for a medium to large law firm in San Juan, Puerto Rico, until I moved to Minot, North Dakota to support my wife and her military career. While in North Dakota, I worked first as a criminal defense attorney, and later as a prosecutor, litigating complex criminal cases in both state and federal courts. I then moved to Western Massachusetts where after several years of practicing as a Criminal Defense Attorney, I shifted my practice and focus to real estate law. I now own and operate The Law Office of Nikos C. Berkowitz, LLC, a law firm dedicated to serving the residential real estate needs of the communities of Western Massachusetts.
